Dr. Miriam Gay-Antaki- Community Geography's New Director
Congratulations to Dr. Gay-Antaki on her appointment as Director of the R.H. Mallory Center for Community Geography! Miriam has served as both Associate Director and Interim Director and is now taking leadership over the center. Dr. Gay-Antaki is an Assistant Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies at UNM. Her work focuses on human-environment relations in the era of anthropogenic global climate change. She draws from political ecology and decolonial feminist geography to amplify voices that are not regularly part of the debate on climate change to make research on the topic more effective for vulnerable and underrepresented communities.
