Congratulations to Recipients of Center Funding for 2023-2024!

The R.H. Mallory Center for Community Geography is pleased to announce our 2023-2024 Community Geography Fellows and Classroom Fund for Community Engagement recipient! Thank you to all who applied for funding and look out for our annual funding announcement in April of next year.

We will have three 2023-2024 Community Geography Fellows. William Tatman, pursuing a B.S. in Geography and Environmental Studies, will be a Fellow for the full academic year. Taressa Nield, pursuing a B.S. in Geography and Environmental Studies, will be a Fellow for the Fall 2023 semester. Ramona Malczynski, pursuing a PhD in Geography and Environmental Studies will be a Fellow for the Spring 2024 semester. Congratulations Fellows!

Dr. Yolanda Lin, Assistant Professor in Geography and Environmental Studies, will be receiving funds from our Classroom Fund for Community Engagement. She will be using these funds to develop a community-engaged project with students in her Spring 2024 course titled "GEOG 2115: Community-engaged information design". She plans to work with her students and the Albuquerque City Nature Challenge to develop promotional graphics, infographics and organize outreach for this amazing citizen science event.
